Compressor Maintenance & Repair Procedures

This class takes you in-depth through high pressure compressor operation, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair skills. 

The course begins in the classroom and quickly progresses to becoming very hands-on. Compressor principles of operation are discussed in detail. Various parts and a demonstration unit are used to assist in component function explanations. Documentation, air quality, responsibilities of operators and technicians are all discussed. 

All aspects of user level maintenance are demonstrated including procedures for repackable filter media replacement. 

Preventative maintenance (PM) tasks are detailed and students are shown the procedures for undertaking the inspection / replacement of components during PM.

Troubleshooting and fault finding is presented in a logical and simple way. Common faults, their symptoms with remedies are explained and demonstrated. Unit testing procedures are shown for both post work quality control or for periodic compressor health checks.

A full strip down and rebuild of the 4-Stage demo unit is carried out by the student.

The course is accompanied by student notes and a USB resources drive.
